Job Description

We are seeking a Leisure Centre Attendant with a Lifeguard qualification to join our Leisure Centre within the Radisson Blu Cork hotel, part of The iNUA Collection. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, guest-focused, and ready to contribute to a welcoming and professional leisure environment. In this role, you will ensure the safety of our customers using the poolside facilities by supervising swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies with rescues and first aid. In addition, as part of our Leisure Centre team, you will support the wider operation to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for everyone using our facilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide a warm welcome and assist guests and members accessing the leisure centre
  • Respond to emergencies with first aid and show vigilance to prevent accidents, performing emergency care such as CPR
  • Inspecting facilities and equipment for safety, educating the public on water safety, maintaining cleanliness
  • Complete chemical checks for the Pool & Jacuzzi when required as per the schedule – checks to include bacteria/ PH checks
  • Complete Pool testing as and when required and adhere to the Pool plant schedule completing all tasks as and when required
  • Responsible for the safety, cleanliness, and general operation of the facility by supervising activities, maintaining equipment, cleaning various areas like pools and changing rooms
  • Support general leisure centre operations, including guest queries and basic equipment assistance
  • Follow all hotel and leisure centre health & safety protocols
  • Carry out additional leisure duties as required ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

Requirements

  • Fully qualified and certified lifeguard
  • Passionate about health and fitness and delivering exceptional guest service
  • Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
  • Can work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • Flexible with working hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Committed to maintaining a strong focus on safety, wellbeing, and professionalism
