We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and creative Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to complement our inter-disciplinary team in providing excellent individual and small group therapy that enhances our Residents’ quality of life at our Hunters Hill Campus. This opportunity would suit those seeking employment on a full-time permanent basis. This is a Monday to Friday position, with the possibility of working on a Sunday. As a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant you will adopt a holistic approach to develop, implement, and evaluate ‘best practice’ programs designed specifically for our Residents.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, implement, and evaluate ‘best practice’ programs designed specifically for our Residents
Provide excellent individual and small group therapy that enhances Residents’ quality of life
Requirements:
Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or working towards
Creativity with ability and knowledge of and understanding of effective engagement for groups and individuals
Residential aged care experience and experience working with people living with dementia
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in documentation
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate programs for groups and individual therapy
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Nice to have:
Previous experience in the delivery and effective implementation of leisure programs
Creative and cognitive based skills to run effective and stimulating groups
