Job Description

As a Working Student in our Legal team, you’ll support a wide variety of legal and compliance work that underpins Hawk’s global operations. From contract review to regulatory research and legal operations, you’ll gain practical experience across commercial law, fintech regulation, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a great opportunity for a motivated law student to develop hands-on skills in a fast-moving SaaS environment while contributing to impactful projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Support contract work by reviewing, drafting, and organizing commercial, vendor, and partnership agreements
  • Assist with legal research across areas such as financial regulation, AML/Compliance, data protection, corporate law, and employment law
  • Help maintain internal legal documentation, templates, and process checklists
  • Support regulatory and compliance activities, including monitoring changes in regulations and updating internal stakeholders
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, assisting Legal in collaborating with teams such as Sales, Product, People, and Finance
  • Help with legal operations, including tracking deadlines, managing external counsel documents, and organizing internal legal resources

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled (and available for at least the next 6 months) in a law degree program: Staatsexamen, bachelor’s or master’s— ideally with coursework in commercial, corporate, tech, or financial regulatory law
  • Strong interest in tech, SaaS, fintech, or compliance regulations (AML, data protection, financial regulation)
  • Strong English skills (C1 or above)
  • German skills are a plus and helpful for reviewing documents
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to handle multiple tasks reliably
  • Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and asking questions proactively
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Reliability and discretion when handling confidential information
