Job Description:

This is a senior, high-impact role within a firm that is investing heavily in AI, automation and digital transformation to enhance legal service delivery and client experience. The Legal Technology team sits at the centre of the firm’s innovation strategy, working across practice areas and business services to design and implement technology-enabled legal solutions. The team combines legal insight, process design and technology expertise to: • Improve efficiency and service delivery • Develop client-facing digital solutions • Embed AI and automation into legal workflows • Support knowledge management and data-driven decision making • Drive adoption of emerging technologies across the firm. This is a collaborative and visible function with strong engagement from senior leadership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with practice groups to identify opportunities for innovation
  • Develop, prototype and roll out new technology-enabled solutions
  • Lead internal legal tech projects from scoping through implementation
  • Drive adoption and engagement across the firm
  • Engage directly with clients on technology-enabled service delivery
  • Horizon scan the legal technology market and assess new tools
  • Supervise and develop junior team members
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the Legal Technology function

Requirements:

  • Experience implementing and managing AI and generative AI tools
  • Experience with document automation, collaboration platforms and workflow systems
  • Exposure to tools such as Harvey, Microsoft Copilot, Kira, HighQ, Contract Express, Bryter, Neota Logic, Power Platform or similar
  • Strong project delivery experience (Agile/Lean methodologies advantageous)
  • Experience engaging directly with clients on technology-driven solutions
  • Confidence leading meetings, demonstrations and pitches
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
  • Strong communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A strong academic background and demonstrable interest in legal innovation
  • Minimum c.5+ years’ experience
  • Worked closely with partners and senior stakeholders in a law firm or comparable professional services environment
