Job Description

This is a part time role, between 20 - 25 hours a week and provides essential administrative and organisational support to the Head of Business Affairs and the wider legal team. You’ll help develop and maintain systems that keep the team running smoothly, manage legal documentation and processes, and ensure matters are tracked accurately and confidentially. The work is varied and meaningful, and you’ll have the opportunity to shape how the team operates as it continues to grow.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide administrative support including diary management, scheduling meetings, travel coordination and expense claims
  • Oversee matter tracking, monitor deadlines and help the team stay organised and informed
  • Manage the legal filing system and ensure documents and contracts are maintained accurately and confidentially
  • Handle NDA workflows including review coordination, signatures and filing
  • Support the maintenance of legal templates, precedents and the company’s trademark portfolio
  • Coordinate company policy documentation and maintain the internal policy repository
  • Assist with company secretarial tasks, corporate filings and compliance tracking
  • Support wider legal and corporate governance initiatives across the business
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by helping refine systems and processes
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects for the legal team as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a legal environment is strongly preferred
  • Highly organised, detail focused and proactive, with a natural drive to improve systems rather than simply maintain them
  • A strong communicator who engages openly, responds thoughtfully to questions and feedback, and is comfortable suggesting improvements
  • Able to build and sustain collaborative relationships with colleagues across different departments
  • Someone who gives and receives constructive feedback well and approaches situations with objectivity and care
  • High level of discretion and integrity, with experience handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Resilient and adaptable, comfortable working with different personalities and navigating a busy environment
  • Confident using the M365 suite of tools.
