As a Legal Support Assistant, you’ll be the organizational backbone for a fast‑moving legal team—keeping cases on track, coordinating communication, and ensuring clients receive exceptional support from start to finish. Job Responsibility:
Manage calendars, deadlines, emails, and tasks to keep attorneys and legal staff on schedule
Coordinate meetings, calls, and case‑related discussions with clients and outside parties
Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact—providing outstanding service to clients, courts, and external partners
Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents, letters, and internal communications
Assist with court‑related tasks including filings, transcript requests, and document submissions
Organize digital and physical files, track incoming/outgoing mail, and maintain case documentation
Support daily office workflows across multiple systems and platforms
Track billable time and case progress within a legal case management system
Jump in on special projects and collaborate closely with attorneys and legal staff
Represent the team positively in all interactions—whether with clients, colleagues, or community partners
Requirements:
A desire to learn legal procedures
Strong organization skills and impeccable attention to detail
Confidence working with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly
Ability to pivot, multitask, and stay calm in a fast‑paced environment
Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal
A proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
High school diploma or equivalent required
3+ years of administrative or legal support experience preferred
Familiarity with legal terminology or legal office operations is a strong asset
Nice to have:
Experience with court processes or bankruptcy
Experience with legal case management tools (Clio, PracticePanther, etc.)
