Job Description

Persado is looking for a Legal Specialist - Financial Advertising Compliance (full-time contractor) to join our team in London or remotely. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team including: language and legal experts, data scientists, product managers, engineers, and commercial teams to refine our Compliance Analyzer product for the UK.

Job Responsibility

  • Regulatory Organization: Enumerate the relevant financial advertising regulations in the UK
  • define the applicability of the regulations across channels, products, and audience segments
  • Regulatory Automation: Utilize and refine our AI tools to automate and enhance regulatory analysis, ensuring compliance with evolving legal standards
  • Risk Assessment & Solutions: Analyze regulatory findings to identify potential compliance risks and develop innovative solutions to address them
  • Legal Prompt Engineering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to write and optimize prompts for Large Language Models so that they adhere strictly to legal guidelines
  • Customer & Internal Stakeholder Support: Serve as a key advisor on product functionalities, providing clear, actionable insights to both customers and internal teams, ensuring legal and regulatory alignment

Requirements

  • UK law degree
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience
  • Experience in a UK compliance or regulatory environment, with an emphasis on financial advertising and regulatory compliance in the UK
  • Familiarity with the FCA Principles for Businesses (PRIN 7), Consumer Duty (PS22/9), Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, UK GDPR & DPA 2018, Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and ASA CAP Code (Advertising), among others
  • A strong interest in LLMs and automation
  • Able to take ownership of tasks and work as a team member
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Able to hit tight deadlines with strict attention to detail
  • Can-do attitude – Able to plan and deliver demanding projects
  • Able to get complex projects completed independently and contribute to cross-departmental issues
