Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to support legal professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role involves handling administrative and legal tasks with precision, ensuring smooth operations within the firm.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and file court documents electronically using e-filing systems
  • Manage attorneys’ calendars, including scheduling appointments and court dates
  • Perform dictation tasks to transcribe legal correspondence and documentation accurately
  • Assist in family law cases by organizing and maintaining client files
  • Coordinate and track court filings to ensure deadlines are met
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including drafting correspondence and preparing legal documents
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all legal policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with clients and court personnel regarding case updates and requirements
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to meet the demands of a busy legal office
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and properly formatted before submission

Requirements

  • Proficiency in e-filing systems and processes
  • Strong skills in calendar management for legal professionals
