We are on the lookout for a Legal Secretary to join our client's team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the transcription of legal documents and conducting legal secretary. This position requires candidates who can type above 75 words per minute.
Job Responsibility:
Accurately transcribe legal documents, reports, and correspondence from dictation using dictation equipment and shorthand skills
Draft, edit, and finalize various legal documents like pleadings and motions
Manage multiple tasks and prioritize them to ensure they are completed in a timely manner
Keep office files, supplies, and records well-organized and up-to-date
Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other relevant entities
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders about case updates and information requests
Uphold client confidentiality and ensure all procedures are adhered to in accordance with legal standards
Requirements:
Proficient in dictation, with the ability to accurately transcribe spoken words swiftly (75+ WPM)
