Job Responsibility

  • Draft pleadings, complaints, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents
  • File documents efficiently in California state courts and federal courts using PACER
  • Manage attorneys’ calendars, deadlines, and case-related tasks
  • Organize, maintain, and update case files (both electronic and physical)
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Assist with trial preparation and support attorneys throughout all stages of litigation

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal in litigation
  • Strong skills drafting discovery responses, complaints, and legal pleadings
  • Proficient with California state court filing procedures and electronic filing in federal courts via PACER
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and document management systems
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Paralegal certificate preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered
