Requirements

Previous experience as a legal secretary in a conveyancing department is essential
Excellent typing and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional and friendly manner with excellent communication skills

Job Responsibility

Providing full secretarial support to conveyancing solicitors
Preparing and amending legal documents and correspondence
Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and handling telephone enquiries
Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other solicitors
Opening, maintaining, and closing client files
Performing Land Registry and other online searches
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and firm procedures

Job Responsibility

Preparation of draft documents and correspondence for review by Fee Earner
Screen incoming telephone calls, deal with enquiries if possible and/or allocate to relevant staff member
Meet and Greet Clients calling into the office in person and deal with their enquiries as appropriate Arrange Meetings and Appointments with clients, as requested by Fee Earners
General team administration including photocopying, faxing, filing and scanning

Knowledge of Land Registry Portal, BigHand, Oyez Forms, Searchflow and/or Partner 4 Windows would be advantageous
