We are looking for a dedicated Legal Practice Assistant to provide comprehensive support to a team of six attorneys specializing in Business Litigation, Finance, Trademark, and Bankruptcy. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced legal environment. Job Responsibility:
Coordinate attorney schedules, including managing calendars, organizing meetings, and arranging travel and conference logistics
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Maintain and organize electronic and physical files using document management systems, ensuring easy access and compliance
Conduct legal research and compile relevant materials to support attorneys in case preparation
Assist with client and matter intake processes, including administrative tasks and expense reporting
Provide backup support to team members, including entering attorney time and managing workload priorities
Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, attorneys, and staff to support effective communication and collaboration
Uphold confidentiality standards and contribute positively to the team’s environment and overall efficiency
Requirements:
High school diploma required
bachelor's or associate degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant specializing in transactional and litigation support
Proficiency in State and Federal electronic filing systems and familiarity with document management tools such as iManage or NetDocs
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and adapting to shifting priorities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a detail-oriented approach
