Robert Half is partnering with a highly respected mid-size law firm in Downtown Seattle that is seeking an experienced Legal Practice Assistant to support a busy team of litigation attorneys and paralegals. This is a senior-level role for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, exercises excellent judgment, and delivers exceptional client service.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, memos, and court filings under tight deadlines
  • E‑file in state, federal, and appellate courts
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and colleagues
  • Perform conflict checks, open new matters, and prepare engagement letters
  • Calendar and track case deadlines and manage attorney schedules
  • Coordinate meetings, travel, and logistics for the litigation team
  • Organize and maintain electronic client files in the firm’s document management system
  • Review and edit timekeeper billing entries
  • Prioritize daily workflow and provide overflow support to the broader litigation team

Requirements

  • 10+ years of litigation legal assistant experience
  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
  • Hands-on experience with state and federal e‑filing across multiple jurisdictions
  • Exceptional proofreading, formatting, and editing capabilities
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, document management systems, and e‑filing platforms
  • Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and sound judgment
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
