We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Operations Manager to join a small, community-focused law firm in the greater Ayer, Massachusetts area. Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily operations and administrative tasks to ensure the office runs smoothly
Assist with onboarding new clients, including preparing necessary documentation and facilitating their initial experience
Review and edit legal documents for accuracy and formatting
Draft initial versions of legal documents such as deeds and proposal letters
Manage correspondence, including drafting letters and addressing envelopes
Support attorneys with overflow tasks to prevent bottlenecks during busy periods
Organize workflows and maintain operational efficiency within the office
Perform receptionist duties, including greeting clients and handling inquiries
Monitor and maintain office supplies, ensuring availability and proper inventory management
Requirements:
Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong formatting skills
Attention to detail and a proactive mindset to identify and address issues promptly
Excellent communication skills, especially in written correspondence that requires attention to detail
Ability to maintain composure and a steady presence in high-pressure situations
Experience in estate or probate work is preferred but not required
willingness to learn is essential
Background in administrative support, office management, or similar roles is advantageous
Comfortable working in a small, collaborative office environment
