As a Legal Operations Intern, you'll work with the Legal team to gain an authentic, real-world experience doing tangible and meaningful work. This role is designed for a proactive student eager to understand the intersection of law, business efficiency, and technology. As a Legal Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the lifecycle of corporate contracting. You’ll collaborate on the review and analysis of various agreements while managing critical administrative tasks and maintaining the integrity of our digital legal records. A significant part of this role involves mastering our internal software systems, where you will serve as a key resource in leveraging these tools to scale the Legal team’s operations.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with the onboarding of new contracts and the review and negotiation of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
Maintain the accuracy and organization of contract records, ensuring all legal contracts and agreements are up to date within our internal systems
Support the legal team in updating, standardizing, and improving legal templates to drive departmental efficiency
Assist in the maintenance of internal process guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure departmental consistency and knowledge sharing
Assist in tracking key performance metrics for the legal department, helping to turn raw data into actionable insights
Provide administrative and project management support for various Legal Operations initiatives as needed
Requirements:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Political Science, Legal Studies, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a high attention to detail, and the ability to read critically
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel formulas/pivot tables) and Google Workspace, with a natural ease for learning new software
A detail-oriented self-starter who can prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
Prior experience, coursework or interest in contract review or legal matters
Interest in Data Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce, Clarity) or process automation
An interest in and familiarity with AI tools and applications
