Job Description

A San Francisco-based mobile gaming company is seeking a detail-oriented legal support professional to join their team on a contract basis. This role supports a lean legal function and focuses on a mix of copyright filings, terms of use updates, and internal documentation management. The position is highly execution-driven and will involve both legal workflows and day-to-day operational support, including coordination with international counsel and management of high-volume documentation.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and support a backlog of copyright filings, including preparation of materials, tracking progress, and ensuring timely submission
  • Coordinate with international external counsel (20–25+ jurisdictions) to update terms of use, including requesting estimates, tracking approvals, and managing documentation updates
  • Organize and maintain HR and internal documentation, including employee records and support of system migration
  • Maintain and update document tracking systems (Excel or internal tools), ensuring accuracy and visibility across active workflows
  • Manage version control and documentation updates across legal, policy, and operational materials
  • Support day-to-day execution for a lean legal function, including tracking tasks, managing follow-ups, and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Assist with coordination across multiple concurrent workstreams, including filings, terms updates, and internal documentation initiatives
  • Ensure all legal and operational documentation is organized, current, and audit-ready

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a paralegal, legal assistant, legal operations, or detail-oriented administrative role with exposure to filings or documentation workflows
  • Hands-on experience with filings, documentation, or regulatory processes (copyright, government, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven work independently
  • Proficiency in Excel and document tracking systems
