This role keeps the operational engine of the legal department running while providing direct, hands-on support to the disputes attorney on active and potential litigation matters. It's a dual-track role: one foot in day-to-day legal operations, the other in eDiscovery, case preparation, and outside counsel coordination.

  • Support the contract lifecycle: Route agreements for review, track execution status, and maintain the contract database with accuracy
  • Triage and coordinate incoming legal matters: Field requests from internal partners across Finance, HR, and Procurement, and route matters to the appropriate attorney efficiently
  • Build and improve legal processes: Develop and refine department templates, workflows, and operational processes that reduce friction and increase consistency
  • Support active litigation directly: Work alongside the disputes attorney to gather documents, organize case files, track key milestones, and prepare materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions
  • Administer eDiscovery processes: Manage legal hold administration, coordinate data collection, support document review logistics, and organize large document sets within eDiscovery platforms
  • Coordinate with outside counsel: Communicate on discovery requests, production schedules, and litigation deadlines — and maintain internal litigation tracking logs with timely follow-up on open items
  • Draft and proofread legal materials: Prepare legal correspondence, litigation summaries, and internal case status reports

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • 4+ year of relevant legal operations or litigation support experience
  • Full proficiency across Microsoft Office environments
  • Experience with document management systems and eDiscovery platforms preferred
