Job Description:

ACC activities have developed at a fast pace from the creation of the company. The current business context has increased the workload and complexity of legal matters. In this respect, the role of a dedicated senior legal counsel is opening to support and secure Purchasing & Sales activities. Reporting to the Group General Counsel, you will support and advise the Purchasing Department and the Sales Department in all legal matters related to such activities at ACC Group level -such as commercial contracts, new customers / suppliers, litigation management with key customers / suppliers- by ensuring compliance with the applicable legal framework and limiting exposure to risk. You will work directly with the Purchasing Department and the Sales Department, and transversally with all functions / entities / métiers and external stakeholders such as strategic partners (customers, suppliers), law firms and other advisors.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide proactive legal support to internal clients on all project-based and transactional matters (including commercial, regulatory and litigation support) within the responsibility of the Purchasing Department and the Sales Department at ACC Group level
  • Represent the corporate legal function with operating committees and act as primary point of contact of the Purchasing Department and the Sales Department for all legal matters
  • Ensure proper coordination with the Group General Counsel on organization, cross-functional and restructuring project-based and transactional matters
  • Ensure that actual internal and external legal spend is in adherence with established legal budgets at corporate level
  • Support and advise the Purchasing Department and the Sales Department in all legal matters related to such activities at ACC Group level -such as commercial contracts, new customers / suppliers, litigation management with key customers / suppliers- by ensuring compliance with the applicable legal framework and limiting exposure to risk

Requirements:

  • Master 2 (or equivalent) – Business law / Certified attorney at law
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Solid and recognized academic background
  • At least 10 years of directly relevant experience in industry
  • Autonomy and proven experience in Purchasing & Sales legal matters: complex commercial contracts, business litigation
  • Very good business acumen and customer focus
  • The ability to build, shape, animate a strong business partner / trusted advisor relationship with diverse business teams
  • Multicultural astuteness with proven experience in France and abroad
  • Judgment and independent thinking skills with an outstanding level of ethics and integrity
  • Persuasiveness and strong communication skills at all levels within the company and externally
