Job Description

At Brkthru, our legal function plays an important role in supporting the business behind the scenes, helping ensure our partnerships, processes, and contract operations are set up for success. As a Legal Intern, you’ll work closely with our internal stakeholders to support contract review and gain exposure to how legal considerations impact a growing business. This is a hands-on opportunity to see how legal work connects to day-to-day operations, particularly within a fast-paced digital media environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with contract review and organization, helping to track, summarize, and maintain agreements across the business
  • Support the team in identifying key terms, deadlines, and potential risks within contracts
  • Help maintain and organize legal documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility
  • Conduct basic legal or business research to support contract-related questions or internal requests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information needed for agreements and legal documentation

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Legal Studies, Pre-Law, Business, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review written materials carefully
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage tasks independently

Nice to have

  • Interest in corporate law, contracts, or business operations
  • Prior coursework or exposure to contract law or legal writing
  • Ability to commit 10–15 hours per week
  • Ability to be onsite to present your capstone project at our office in Southfield, MI at the end of your internship
