Groma is blending real estate and technology to unlock a new real estate asset class while making it easier for everyone, from institutional investors to the residents in our buildings, to participate in ownership. Our property technology platform uses AI to bring new efficiencies to the small unit count multifamily sector, enabling us to efficiently acquire, upgrade, and operate these 2-20 unit multifamily buildings and bring institutional performance to this massive but historically overlooked sector. Our investor technology platform makes owning these assets accessible to a broad array of investors, with bespoke vehicles available to institutional and family office investors and our flagship vehicle, the blockchain-powered GromaREIT, available to everyone, with a special focus on enabling ownership for the residents in our buildings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting legal aspects of private real estate fund formation and securities law compliance
  • Conducting legal research on blockchain and digital asset regulatory issues, particularly as they relate to securities law
  • Assisting with drafting and reviewing contracts, offering materials, and investor disclosures
  • Tracking regulatory developments impacting digital assets, tokenized securities, and real estate-backed investment products
  • Collaborating with Acquisitions, Finance, Investor Relations, and Engineering teams on cross-functional legal initiatives

Requirements:

  • Current 2L or 3L JD student at an ABA-accredited law school
  • Strong interest in securities law, private funds, real estate, and/or digital assets
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Availability to work approximately 32-40 hours per week during the semester
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Willingness to work fully in-office in Boston, MA
