Job Description

The Legal Department Internship is an exciting opportunity to experience what in-house counsel life is like in a complex international business. The Legal Intern will support the Asmodee North America Legal Team members in a wide variety of areas including intellectual property, legal operations, corporate matters, research and reporting, document review, and compliance.

Job Responsibility

  • Support contract management processes, including tracking, organizing, and maintaining legal documentation
  • Monitor regulatory developments and provide summaries to the legal team
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on case laws on a given topic in various jurisdictions
  • Review and assure consistency and conformity across templates
  • Participate in trademark matters, prosecution and recent litigation trends
  • Attend meetings with legal team members
  • Assist in developing and updating internal policies, procedures, and compliance materials
  • Provide general administrative support to the Legal Department as needed

Requirements

  • Graduate level coursework in process for a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school (2L, or 3L)
  • Working knowledge of Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel preferred
  • Some experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw
  • Interest in in-house corporate legal work
