Legal Counsel

• Provide business-oriented legal advice to all levels of management and staff
• Monitor, research and address legal issues within the company / branch
• Draft and review contracts, agreements and corporate documents (e.g. rules of procedure), corporate resolutions and accompanying legal documentation
• Ensure implementation of internal policies
• Raise awareness of, and develop risk mitigation measures
• Work with the global Allianz Technology Legal community in developing and enhancing practices and procedures
• Work in cross-functional teams as required and in line with evolving business needs and the regulatory environment
• Conduct trainings
• Closely follow legislative processes both on a national and international level and help to identify necessary steps for their implementation at Allianz Technology SE
• Oversee and steer external legal counsel, where applicable

• A strong academic background with a preference for candidates holding a degree of 2:1 or above and admitted to practise law in England and Wales (preferably also in Ireland)
• 5+ years’ experience working as an in-house attorney in an international company or as an attorney in an international law firm with a focus on commercial law
• knowledge of IT law and the associated supervisory law in insurance companies is an advantage
• a good understanding of the business environment and are eager to work in an international environment
• the ability to work well in a team and have excellent communication skills
• an entrepreneurial spirit and are well-organized
• strong negotiation skills and follow an analytical approach
• the ability to work independently and be a trustful advisor to the local management
• a keen attention to details
