Legal Counsel

• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice across UKI2028’s operations and projects
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including event staging, venue hire, supply and services agreements, and government funding arrangements
• Support compliance with hosting obligations, funding conditions and organisational policies
• Provide governance support to the Board, committees and stakeholder groups
• Build strong working relationships with partners including stadiums, host cities, governments and UEFA
• Instruct and manage external legal advisers where required
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-moving delivery environment

• Qualification to practise as a solicitor in at least one UK or Ireland jurisdiction
• Commercial legal experience, gained in private practice and/or an in-house environment
• Confidence drafting and negotiating contracts and advising on risk in complex settings
• The ability to communicate clearly with non-legal colleagues and senior stakeholders
• Sound judgement, organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
