As our first in-house Legal Counsel, you'll play a key role in building the commercial and legal infrastructure that lets Reducto move fast and grow without unnecessary friction. You'll collaborate closely with the founders and go-to-market team to own contracting end-to-end, serve as a trusted advisor across the business, and build the processes and templates that scale with us. This is a high-impact role where you'll shape how legal operates at Reducto from day one.
Job Responsibility
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts across the business, including customer agreements, MSAs, SaaS subscriptions, SOWs, NDAs, and vendor contracts, and create new form agreements where none exist
partner closely with the sales team as a responsive, solution-oriented advisor who helps close deals, not slow them down
build and maintain scalable legal infrastructure: standard templates, a negotiation playbook, approval workflows, and a contract management system
provide pragmatic legal and regulatory guidance to teams across the company, from early-stage project development through launch
stay current on laws and regulations relevant to AI products, including data privacy, IP, and consumer protection, and ensure we are operating in compliance
manage outside counsel relationships and keep legal spend focused and efficient
Requirements
4+ years of legal experience with a strong track record drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
comfortable being the only lawyer in the room and making pragmatic calls independently
bring a generalist mindset and are willing to tackle problems outside your core expertise
communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams and build trust quickly across functions
operate well in fast-moving, high-growth environments and can balance attention to detail with the pace of the business
use AI tools fluently and have a track record of using them to improve efficiency and process

Prior in-house experience at a B2B SaaS or AI company
built legal infrastructure from scratch, including templates, playbooks, and contract systems
understand how AI technologies intersect with privacy, IP, and competition law
have experience navigating international legal and regulatory requirements
