We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to provide expert legal guidance and support across a broad range of legal matters impacting the business. Job Responsibility
Provide timely and accurate legal advice to internal stakeholders on a broad range of legal matters including contract law, employment law, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution
Assist with litigation matters through legal analysis, preparation of legal documentation, and collaboration with external legal counsel where required
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and provide legal guidance aligned with strategic priorities
Assess legal implications of business decisions, identify potential risks, and recommend practical solutions to minimise legal exposure
Work closely with colleagues across the legal team and wider organisation to address complex legal matters and contribute to organisational goals
Promote a collaborative and supportive culture within the legal function and across the business
Participate in contract negotiation processes and support the drafting, review, and execution of contractual agreements that protect the organisation's interests
Assess legal risks associated with business activities, transactions, and strategic initiatives
Develop and recommend proactive risk mitigation strategies to reduce legal and regulatory exposure
Draft, review, and finalise a wide range of commercial agreements including vendor agreements, service contracts, employment contracts, and lease agreements
Review contractual terms and conditions, identify legal risks, and recommend amendments to safeguard the company's interests
Conduct legal research and stay informed on relevant legislation, regulations, case law, and industry developments impacting the organisation
Analyse legal precedents and regulatory guidance to support informed decision-making and legal strategy development
Monitor regulatory developments and support the organisation in maintaining compliance with applicable laws, industry standards, and internal policies
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance strategies, frameworks, and procedures
Communicate legal advice, recommendations, and updates clearly and effectively to key stakeholders across the business
Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders through professionalism, integrity, and transparency
Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in all legal matters
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with professional conduct requirements while avoiding conflicts of interest
Stay up to date with emerging legal trends, regulatory developments, and best practices through continuous professional development
Participate in legal training programmes, seminars, and workshops to enhance legal expertise and effectiveness
Requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess legal risks and provide practical solutions
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and global teams
Strong attention to detail and ability to review complex legal documentation accurately
Experience negotiating and drafting commercial contracts
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and legal risk management principles
Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field
Qualified legal professional or equivalent legal qualification preferred
3–5 years of in-house legal experience
Demonstrated experience in negotiating and drafting contracts
Experience providing legal advice and support within businesses or organisations
