This role is based 5 days a week at our Shirebrook HQ. As a Legal Counsel at Frasers Group you will review, negotiate, draft and advise on a wide range of supplier and business partnership contracts for all areas of the Group’s businesses including: commercial, supply chain, concessions, events, marketing, ecommerce, franchising and licencing, IT & technology, outsourcing and finance.
Job Responsibility:
Review, negotiate, draft and advise on a wide range of supplier and business partnership contracts for all areas of the Group’s businesses including: commercial, supply chain, concessions, events, marketing, ecommerce, franchising and licencing, IT & technology, outsourcing and finance
Dealing with commercial disputes and litigation
Providing guidance on marketing and promotional activity including CAP code compliance for advertisements, promotions competitions and product packaging, and drafting associated T&Cs for promotions, prize draws and competitions
Supporting e-commerce team on legal aspects of digital marketing and website operations
Wholesale contracts and concession agreements with suppliers
General IP work including licencing of own brands and third party licencing
Advising and supporting the customer service team as required on customer complaints and handling disputes and small claims
Assisting on larger M&A work as required, coordinating smaller transactions including conducting due diligence investigations, drafting SPA/APAs and ancillary documents and post-completion support
Liaising with enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies such as the ICO, ASA and Trading Standards in relation to regulatory issues and customer complaints
Instructing and managing external lawyers on any work which is in excess of in-house capacity or specialist in nature
Assisting senior members of the legal team on various matters
Supervising junior members of the team
Requirements:
Strong experience working within Commercial contract negotiation
Qualified and able to hit the ground running using expertise in this sector
Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment where priorities are ever changing
Excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with those at all levels of an organisation
Able to provide commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice
