The primary purpose of this role is to support, manage, and develop a wide range of Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance tasks that are essential for Vantage Towers to perform its core business activities effectively within the Portuguese market. As a key member of the Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance team in Portugal, you will operate at the strategic intersection of law, business operations. Your mission involves supporting diverse commercial initiatives, ensuring the company remains ahead of regulatory changes, and contributing directly to the integrity of our legal and regulatory compliance frameworks. This role requires a professional who can navigate the complexities of a fast-growing infrastructure business while maintaining the highest legal standards and protecting the company’s interests in a competitive landscape.
Job Responsibility
Provide clear, pragmatic and business-oriented legal advice across all relevant matters, such as Civil Law, Contract Law and Public Procurement, working closely with operations, finance, commercial and senior leadership to deliver business-aligned solutions and acting as a trusted advisor to internal teams
Draft, review and negotiate agreements (e.g. lease, partnerships, commercial, suppliers)
Monitor evolving legal and regulatory frameworks and translate legal developments into clear, actionable guidance for internal stakeholders
Contribute to the development of legal frameworks, templates and best practices, ensuring consistent, solution-driven guidance across the business
Support Regulatory and Group Policies compliance
Comprehensive legal support for procedures/public tenders under the Public Contracts Code (CCP)
Support and monitor certification processes (e.g. ISO 50001) and ESG related activities
Litigation support, in liaison with external counsels
Support corporate governance activities
Contribute to internal trainings and awareness initiatives, supporting teams in understanding legal requirements and obligations.
Requirements
Academic Background: Possession of a University Master’s Degree in Law. A specialized post-graduate course in a relevant field (e.g., Corporate Law, Public Law, or Regulated Industries) is considered a significant advantage.
Professional Background: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience gained within a reputable law firm or as part of an in-house legal department. Exposure to areas directly aligned with the scope of this role is essential.
Technical Expertise: In-depth and solid knowledge of Contracts Law and Public Law. Previous experience working within regulated industries (such as telecommunications, energy, or utilities) is considered a plus.
Language Skills: Complete fluency in Portuguese and a high level of professional fluency in English, as you will be communicating within a global corporate environment.
