The Baltic Legal Counsel provides clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal advice across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, with occasional support for the Poland & Baltics Business Unit (BU) working in Legal Department and reporting to Legal Director of BU. Acting as a trusted and independent advisor, the role ensures full compliance with applicable laws and Group standards, manages legal risk, and safeguards the Company’s reputation while enabling sustainable business operations. Responsibilities include advising on business transactions and corporate matters, supporting negotiations, preparing and reviewing legal documentation, representing the Company before public authorities and external stakeholders, and contributing to compliance frameworks and cross-functional projects. By combining legal expertise with business acumen, the Baltic Legal Counsel plays a critical role in protecting the Company’s legal position and driving compliant growth.
Job Responsibility:
Ensures that all Company’s actions and decisions comply with legal requirements
Manages legal risk and provides advice on business transactions, internal corporate matters with special focus on creating, drafting and reviewing contracts and other Company documentation
Supports the negotiation of agreements with business partners from legal perspective and prepares legal documents
Provides legal advisory service to managers to secure legal position of the business and ensure that all activities are compliant with the law
Collaborates with local employees/management to structure, draft, negotiate and interpret a wide range of contracts
Supports formulation of policies and procedures
Learns and implements best practices from outside and shares own best practices within Coca-Cola HBC
Analysis of current legal changes concerning special Company’s purpose and its activities
Legal consultations and drafting of legal opinions, translations of legal documents
Requirements:
Experience in legal department (FMCG company would be preferred) or in the law firm
Strong knowledge of commercial, corporate, and regulatory law
Ability to independently manage legal projects and prioritize tasks
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and ethical conduct
Independent decision making within assigned legal areas and granted powers of attorney
Ability to recommend legal strategies and risk mitigation measures
Shared responsibility for selecting and managing external legal advisors
