Palantir’s dynamic in-house legal team works to proactively address legal issues so that Palantir can continue to drive positive impact in the world. As Legal Counsel, you will be a key contributor to both the Legal team and the company as a whole. We’re a team that values both creativity and teamwork - whether operating solo or collaboratively, we endeavour to achieve great results on challenging, time-sensitive projects. You'll be given open ended objectives and will find ways to turn them into outcomes. By focusing on the broad vision without losing sight of the details, you'll bring large and multi-phase projects to successful completion while prioritising team outcomes over individual wins. You are able to deliver complex information in an understandable way, and can manage high touch stakeholders in a constantly shifting landscape.
Job Responsibility:
Lead negotiation and drafting on commercial and international government deals and transactions
Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes
Advise on complex legal and business matters to solve a multitude of challenges across the company, including in the compliance and regulatory space
Partner closely with international sales teams on deal strategy and enterprise level relationships in-region
Assist in building infrastructure and processes to optimally deliver legal support in a scalable manner
Collaborate with Business, Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams to drive deals to execution
Requirements:
Qualified lawyer in the US, UK, or other common law jurisdiction
Fluent in written and spoken English
3-8 years of post qualification experience at a top-firm and/or in-house
Bachelor of Law or equivalent law degree from a top-tier university/law school
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Deep understanding of and interest in regional laws, regulations, and policy developments
Organisation, resourcefulness, and strong attention to detail
Familiarity with technology and software licensing, particularly with customers based in the Middle East
Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to novel issues
Ability to multitask, problem solve, and balance competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment
