Job Description

This role exists to ensure PEXA continues to meet its regulatory and contractual obligations while enabling the business to innovate and grow. As Legal Counsel, Regulatory, you’ll act as a trusted adviser, bringing together regulatory insight, commercial judgment and strong stakeholder engagement.

Job Responsibility

  • Translate new or changing regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance the business can use
  • Advise on commercial and regulatory aspects of agreements with customers, regulators or industry bodies
  • Work alongside product and data teams to shape compliant solutions from the ground up
  • Support regulatory engagement and advocacy, helping PEXA communicate clearly and constructively with regulators
  • Spot emerging legal or regulatory risks early and help teams navigate them with confidence

Requirements

  • Regulatory law and framework expertise, particularly in regulated or technology-enabled environments
  • Commercial and contractual advisory skills, with the ability to balance legal risk and business outcomes
  • Stakeholder and regulator engagement, building trusted, constructive relationships
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, identifying issues early and helping the business move forward
