Job Description:

Join Fever’s growing legal team at our vibrant hub in Madrid! This role focuses on supporting the global expansion of our business including implementation of cutting-edge payment technologies, cashless payments, digital credit systems, and onsite payment solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide actionable business and product advice on regulatory and compliance matters related to payment systems across various jurisdictions, including researching and understanding financial and data protection regulations
  • Demonstrate project administration skills in the design and implementation of financial regulation-compliant tech products
  • Support Fever’s global expansion efforts, particularly around cashless payment solutions and digital credit systems
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key commercial contracts and terms with vendors, event operators, and technology partners
  • Assist commercial and operations teams with POS structures, merchant reconciliation processes, and local vendor relationships
  • Coordinate with external legal advisors as needed
  • Provide general commercial legal advice on contracts, partnerships, and operational issues
  • Participate in knowledge management, including creating templates and legal guides
  • Participate in upskilling, support, and growth of other team members

Requirements:

  • Be a barred/practicing lawyer with at least 5+ years PQE including inhouse — experience in a fintech environment preferred
  • Demonstrate experience advising on payment systems, merchant services, fintech regulations, or similar areas
  • Professionally fluent in English
  • Have a keen eye for understanding strategic pain points, operational and UX prioritization, and an ability to align legal advice with business goals
  • Show proactivity, adaptability, and a hands-on mindset in fast-paced environments
  • Be an effective communicator who thrives in global, cross-functional teams
