Job Description:

As an IP Counsel in Legora’s Stockholm office, you will play a central role in supporting one of the fastest-growing legal technology companies globally. You will work closely with our commercial and marketing teams, advising on intellectual property matters with a strong focus on IP licensing agreements, brand use, and marketing-related legal issues. This role requires a high degree of independence and the ability to operate across multiple time zones, partnering closely with stakeholders to enable commercial initiatives while managing IP and brand risk. You will report to the Head of Legal, based at our Stockholm headquarters.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as a commercial partner to the business, working closely with senior stakeholders in Partnerships, Marketing, Growth and Product, on IP-driven commercial initiatives
  • Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of IP-focused agreements, including licensing, partnership, brand, and marketing agreements
  • Advise on IP risk allocation, licensing models, usage rights, ownership, and contractual protections in customer- and partner-facing agreements
  • Protect and enforce Legora’s IP and brand, including managing trademark and domain portfolios, coordinating registrations, and supporting IP-related disputes and litigation as needed
  • Develop and maintain IP and licensing templates, playbooks, and guidelines to standardise negotiations, protect core IP assets, and improve execution speed

Requirements:

  • Law degree (LL.M. or equivalent) from Sweden, the UK, or an EU-jurisdiction, qualified to practice in that country
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Swedish and English
  • 4-5 years of experience at a top-tier law firm and/or as an in-house legal counsel
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating IP, content licensing, and commercial agreements, and supporting commercial and marketing teams
  • Strong legal judgment and confidence in making decisions independently
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic entrepreneurial environment and rapidly evolving business setting
  • Excited about the potential of technology to transform the legal industry
