Job Responsibility

  • Partner closely with HR and business stakeholders, providing clear, practical advice across a wide range of UK employment law matters
  • Span the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and contracts through to complex employee relations issues, restructures and exits
  • Advise on areas including redundancy, TUPE, disciplinary and grievance matters, restrictive covenants and Employment Tribunal claims, working with external counsel where needed
  • Support policy development, deliver training, and help embed best practice across the business
  • Gain exposure to wider EMEA matters

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales (or equivalent) with at least 4 years’ PQE in employment law, gained in private practice or in-house
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law with experience advising on complex employee relations matters
  • Experience supporting redundancy programmes, TUPE and organisational change
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and provide practical, commercially focused advice
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while being part of a collaborative team
