Job Description

Our client is a major play in Hong Kong's equity and futures brokerage markets, they are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to join their well-resourced team in Hong Kong and support their expanding business.Draft, negotiate, and review comprehensive legal documentation for OTC derivatives, structured products, debt financing, and syndicated loan transactions. Evaluate legal risks associated with Debt Capital Markets and structured finance while advising on varied contractual arrangements like NDAs and electronic trading platform agreements. Partner with internal departments to maintain strict regulatory standards and manage relationships with external legal counsel when specialized expertise is required.

Requirements

  • A qualified lawyer in Hong Kong or other common law jurisdiction with 5 to 8 years of professional experience within the legal or financial services sectors
  • Robust working knowledge of OTC derivatives, DCM, and syndicated loans, complemented by an understanding of securities and futures regulations
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, Chinese, and Mandarin is essential.
