Job Description

You will be focused on providing legal advice and building a framework for our many developers and engineers to build compliant products and services. You will therefore get a chance to play an important role in shaping the future of our digital regulation framework. When carrying out your tasks, you will work with international and highly specialized colleagues across functions, in a collaborative, forward-looking environment. You will also work with external experts on selected matters but more importantly you will obtain a unique and in-depth understanding of Demant’s cutting-edge products and services.

Job Responsibility

  • Improving our existing Privacy (and Data/AI) by Design framework for product development in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Supporting stakeholders with advice on various questions regarding tech regulations e.g. advice on proposals for new app functionalities, review of privacy notices for apps and fitting software, general advice to developers on legal restrictions and possibilities
  • Monitoring legal developments within digital regulations and in relation to new technologies to make sure we are ahead of regulatory change impacting our products and services
  • Training colleagues – especially our colleagues in R&D, IT, and our Data Privacy Champions on digital regulations

Requirements

  • A degree in law (cand.jur., cand.merc.jur. or equivalent degree if you are educated outside of Denmark)
  • Several years of experience from working as in-house legal counsel, at a law firm or consulting firm, or with other legal experience
  • Experience with advising on GDPR in relation to products and/or services
  • A structured approach and good skills at organizing process flows to help translating legal requirements into technical requirements to developers/engineers/IT
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, concise and compelling manner
  • The ability to balance the need for sound business advice with the need for maintaining a high standard of legal advice
  • Good interpersonal skills to have good interactions with and being able to manage stakeholders at different levels of the organization
  • English proficiency as this is our corporate language
