We are currently seeking a Legal Consultant – Commercial Contracts (Mandarin-Speaking) for global clients including Fortune 500 clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with our clients remotely and provide legal support
  • Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including: creative, advertising and digital marketing, procurement, technology and partnership deals
  • Develop, implement, and advise on a wide range of commercial marketplace contracts, Terms and Conditions of Sale, distribution agreements and related policies

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with minimum of 4 years’ of PQE, with substantial experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts
  • Able to write and draft in Chinese and English

Nice to have:

  • Prior work experience with clients in China is an advantage
  • More experienced talents are welcome

  • Negotiate: Lead negotiations with high-growth fintechs and enterprise customers, balancing commercial priorities with regulatory requirements
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships: Work closely with the Sales and Business teams to understand the Bank’s goals, strategy, and risk tolerance for each deal in order to develop an efficient and risk-based contracting strategy
  • Expand into additional areas of law: As the fourth member of our growing Legal team, you'll support each other with novel research, product and regulatory advice, exam management, subpoena responses, litigation deliverables, and corporate governance materials
