Job Responsibility
Lead and oversee legal, compliance, and governance matters, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies while providing strategic legal advice to business units and senior management
Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of legal documentation, including commercial contracts, financing and loan agreements, property-related documents, acquisitions, and corporate transactions
Develop, implement, and enhance compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, and monitoring programmes to strengthen risk management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance practices
Manage regulatory engagements, audits, investigations, and compliance reporting, while serving as a key liaison with regulators, external counsel, and other stakeholders on legal and compliance matters
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives, identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks, deliver training programmes, and support business growth in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Requirements
5-7 PQE, with strong experience in legal, compliance, and corporate governance matters
Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including conducting legal due diligence, reviewing transaction documents, and supporting acquisition-related activities
Hands-on experience with anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) programmes, third-party due diligence processes, and related compliance risk management initiatives
