Our client is a leading investment and asset management group with a strong regional presence across Asia.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and oversee legal, compliance, and governance matters, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies while providing strategic legal advice to business units and senior management
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of legal documentation, including commercial contracts, financing and loan agreements, property-related documents, acquisitions, and corporate transactions
  • Develop, implement, and enhance compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, and monitoring programmes to strengthen risk management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance practices
  • Manage regulatory engagements, audits, investigations, and compliance reporting, while serving as a key liaison with regulators, external counsel, and other stakeholders on legal and compliance matters
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives, identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks, deliver training programmes, and support business growth in a fast-paced and evolving environment

Requirements

  • 5-7 PQE, with strong experience in legal, compliance, and corporate governance matters
  • Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including conducting legal due diligence, reviewing transaction documents, and supporting acquisition-related activities
  • Hands-on experience with anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) programmes, third-party due diligence processes, and related compliance risk management initiatives
  • Bachelor Degree
