Job Description

We are looking for a Legal Billing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will support the firm's billing and accounts receivable operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in client invoicing and financial record maintenance. This position is based in Seattle, Washington, and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where attention to detail is valued.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare, review, and process client invoices to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
  • Coordinate monthly billing cycles and monitor deadlines for invoice submissions
  • Enter and maintain financial and billing data using the firm's accounting software
  • Verify time entries and expense records, addressing any discrepancies
  • Track accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments effectively
  • Identify and resolve billing discrepancies by collaborating with attorneys and staff
  • Organize and maintain both physical and electronic billing documentation
  • Provide administrative assistance to the accounting team as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in legal billing or a similar role within detail-oriented services
  • Familiarity with billing systems, such as Tabs3, and accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and financial record management
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
