Job Description:

Wilson Sonsini is seeking a biller to join our growing finance team. The primary function of the role is to prepare and edit prebills and generate client invoices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support monthly billing cycle
  • Process prebill revisions, including edit, transfer and write-off of time, and ensure compliance with firm and client billing policies and procedures
  • Ensure application of client guidelines, procedures, and other special billing requirements
  • Maintain records of special billing instructions for attorneys and clients
  • Work closely with the firm finance team to streamline and improve the billing process
  • Support special projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years prior experience in high volume/dollar, automated, law firm finance role in billing
  • Experience with Aderant or other legal finance software required
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Customer service focused
