Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Legal Billing Clerk to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in legal billing and electronic invoicing. The ideal candidate will manage billing processes efficiently while ensuring compliance with client guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and generate monthly pre-bills and draft invoices for attorney review
  • Implement edits and revisions to invoices based on attorney feedback and client billing requirements
  • Manage a high volume of invoices with precision and accuracy within tight deadlines
  • Upload invoices to various electronic billing systems, ensuring proper formatting and functionality
  • Address client and matter billing inquiries promptly and courteously
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to resolve outstanding accounts receivable and assist with collections when necessary
  • Maintain proficiency in legal billing software, including SurePoint, and ensure proper use of litigation and activity codes
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to firm policies
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook effectively to support billing processes
  • Assist with special projects and contribute to team initiatives as needed

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience, with at least 2 years in electronic billing
  • Proficiency in electronic billing systems such as Legal Exchange, Collaborati, Legal Tracker, and Tymetrix
  • Familiarity with legal billing software, particularly SurePoint
  • Thorough understanding of litigation and activity codes in legal billing
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle high-volume billing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with attorneys and clients
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to team efforts
