We are looking for a talented and dedicated lawyer at Associate level to join our in-house team, to review and manage the contractual arrangements of our global projects. This represents a rare opportunity for a lawyer to take on or further a career in an “in-house” role, in a creative, interesting, and evolving business.
Job Responsibility:
Review and manage the contractual arrangements of global projects
Take responsibility for the review of contracts and contractual arrangements, the production of advice, and undertaking contractual negotiations
Give advice and support in line with the implementation of Cundall’s legal risk management policies and where appropriate advise Cundall’s Regional Management Boards
Take responsibility for other contractual advice such as the validity or otherwise of requests for assignments of Cundall’s appointments or for additional collateral warranties / third party rights / novation agreements / letters of reliance
Undertake claims administration, debt recovery work and ad hoc miscellaneous legal advice
Requirements:
Qualified solicitor with circa 4 years PQE and relevant practical experience
Experience in construction law and advising and negotiating on professional engineering consultancy appointments (both client bespoke and standard forms)
Experience in advising on areas like GDPR, IPR, commercial contracts, commercial litigation, professional indemnity insurance and building contracts is highly desirable
Utilised analytic skills and strong attention to detail when analysing and drafting contracts and other legal documents
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
