Position: Legal Associate / Senior Associate (Bengoshi) – Renewable EnergyLocation: JapanJoin a leading force in the renewable energy sector and play a critical role in supporting our legal operations in Japan. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Associate to help facilitate our dynamic business operations and ensure legal compliance as we drive the future of clean energy. Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare, draft, and review a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, memoranda, and regulatory filings
  • Conduct timely and targeted legal research on statutes and regulations relevant to the renewable energy industry
  • Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable Japanese laws by analyzing legal documents and providing clear interpretations
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, administrative scriveners, and other professionals on key legal matters such as project financing and permitting
  • Support senior team members on special projects and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the legal department

Requirements:

  • Qualified Japanese lawyer (Bengoshi)
  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally in a major law firm or a large corporate legal department
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese
  • Business-level proficiency in English
