Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide dedicated support to one Partner handling insurance defense matters while also assisting with key office operations responsibilities. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment and enjoys balancing legal support with administrative and operational tasks.
Job Responsibility
Draft, revise, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and other case-related documents
Manage attorney calendar, deadlines, court dates, and scheduling
Maintain case files and assist with litigation preparation
Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors in a professional manner
Order and maintain office supplies and ensure the office is stocked appropriately
Communicate with vendors regarding services, deliveries, and office needs
Serve as a point of contact for building management on maintenance requests, access, and facility-related issues
Assist with general office coordination to support smooth daily operations
Help organize records, invoices, and administrative processes as needed
Requirements
Previous experience as a legal assistant, litigation assistant, or administrative professional in a law firm environment preferred
Experience supporting insurance defense or litigation practices strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of legal document preparation, calendaring, and file management
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems preferred
