We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. Job Responsibility:
Manage calendars for attorneys, including scheduling appointments, depositions, hearings, and trial dates, while ensuring deadlines are met
File and serve legal documents in state and federal courts, adhering to all relevant regulations and requirements
Draft, edit, and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas for business and commercial litigation cases
Coordinate expense reports, reimbursements, and check requests for assigned attorneys
Open new case matters, maintain client and vendor relationships, and ensure positive ongoing communication
Assist with client billing by entering attorney billable and nonbillable time and resolving billing-related issues
Collaborate with attorneys and team members to complete daily legal tasks and support firm operations
Handle administrative tasks such as document organization, correspondence, and matter tracking
Ensure compliance with filing protocols and deadlines through meticulous document management
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in litigation
Proficiency in e-filing procedures and familiarity with court filing systems
Strong skills in calendar management, including handling complex schedules and deadlines
Expertise in preparing and formatting litigation documents for commercial and business cases
Knowledge of defense litigation and complex commercial litigation practices
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of legal and administrative work
