You will act as the primary point of coordination between fee-earners, the accounts department, and valued clients, with a specialized focus on financial workflows.
Job Responsibility:
Managing the monthly billing cycle, including preparing proformas, editing time entries, and distributing final invoices
Handling disbursements, managing trust account records, and processing expense claims
Overseeing the full lifecycle of a file from initial conflict checks and opening to final archiving
Drafting complex legal correspondence, managing busy calendars, and coordinating domestic and international travel
Serving as a professional point of contact for clients, ensuring all inquiries are handled with discretion and efficiency
Requirements:
Significant experience as a Legal Assistant or Secretary, preferably within a mid-to-large tier firm
Hands-on experience with legal practice management software (such as Aderant, Elite, Leap, or OpenPractice)
Exceptional attention to detail with a high WPM typing speed and advanced MS Office skills
The ability to stay calm under pressure and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced Sydney CBD environment
