We are looking for a Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation practice in California. Job Responsibility:
Prepare, format, and finalize legal documents including pleadings, discovery materials, and draft templates for attorney review
Handle electronic filings in both state and federal courts while ensuring all submissions meet court-specific rules and deadlines
Maintain case calendars and monitor key litigation dates using Clio or a comparable case management platform
Coordinate with attorneys, court personnel, clients, and outside parties to support day-to-day litigation activities
Organize and manage case files, correspondence, and supporting documentation with a high level of accuracy and consistency
Assist with the drafting, revision, and assembly of court-ready materials for civil litigation matters
Track filing requirements, response deadlines, and procedural obligations to help matters move forward efficiently
Requirements:
2-7 years of experience in a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Paralegal role supporting litigation matters
Hands-on experience with electronic filing procedures in both state and federal courts
Working knowledge of civil procedure and the general flow of litigation cases
Ability to prepare and manage pleadings, discovery documents, and related legal materials
Proficiency with calendar management and deadline tracking, including experience with Clio or similar software
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work under time-sensitive conditions
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a detail-oriented and collaborative attitude
