Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing support for litigation matters and ensuring smooth case management. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with legal professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

Support attorneys in preparing and organizing legal documents for litigation cases
Conduct research and gather relevant case information to assist in legal proceedings
Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all documentation
Coordinate schedules and meetings for attorneys and clients
Assist with drafting and editing legal correspondence and filings
Ensure compliance with court deadlines and filing requirements
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel
Provide administrative assistance, including managing correspondence and tracking case progress
Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient case workflows

Requirements:

Proven experience in commercial litigation or a similar legal assistant role
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in legal research and document preparation
Familiarity with court procedures and filing requirements
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
High attention to detail and accuracy in handling legal documents
Proficiency in using legal software and tools for case management
