We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of litigation processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in legal administration and a strong aptitude for managing deadlines and multiple priorities. Ideal candidate will work in a floater capacity to cover vacant desks in the practice areas of Commercial Litigation, White Collar Crime, Estate and Trust Planning, Corporate, Real Estate, and Individual Tax Planning.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, revise, and proofread legal documents and correspondence with high accuracy
Must be excited to work at a variety of desks in multiple practice areas
Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible
Schedule and manage deadlines, court dates, and appointments on multiple attorney calendars
Arrange travel itineraries and accommodations for attorneys as needed
Accurately enter attorney time and ensure proper documentation for billing purposes
Facilitate effective communication with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth collaboration
Handle e-filing of documents in Federal and State Courts with precision
Draft administrative and court forms, ensuring compliance with legal standards
Support litigation efforts across commercial, defense, and complex business cases
Requirements:
Minimum of five years of experience as a legal or executive assistant
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to type at least 80 words per minute with high accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
Proficiency in e-filing documents and managing calendars effectively
Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills
Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with team members and clients
