We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Fresno, California. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage various administrative and legal support tasks with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury litigation and possess strong technical and communication skills.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and manage scheduling for appointments, depositions, court appearances, trials, and case deadlines, ensuring all timelines are met
Maintain and organize legal case files and documents using Neos case management software, Law Toolbox, Essential Forms, and Microsoft Office applications
Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, including settlement demand packages, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery materials, ensuring accuracy and professionalism
Ensure proper filing, dating, and naming of documents within the case management system to maintain data integrity
Provide support for project management tasks related to personal injury law and litigation cases
Organize and maintain both electronic and physical filing systems for timely document retrieval
Assist with legal transcription and proofreading to ensure clarity and compliance in all written materials
Collaborate with paralegals on the preparation of settlement demand packages and discovery responses to support ongoing litigation efforts
Requirements:
Proven experience with e-filing and civil litigation processes
Strong skills in calendar management and scheduling
Proficiency in handling court filings and legal documentation
Knowledge of personal injury law and litigation procedures
Familiarity with case management software such as Neos and calendaring tools like Law Toolbox
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced legal environment
