Job Responsibility:
Handle post-judgment collections for landlord-tenant disputes while ensuring compliance with California laws
Prepare and file various post-judgment enforcement documents, including writs of execution, wage garnishments, bank levies, and claims of exemption
Communicate effectively with judgment debtors to negotiate payment plans and settlements
Collaborate with California courts and sheriff’s offices to coordinate enforcement actions
Maintain accurate records and ensure meticulous attention to detail throughout all legal processes
Manage a high-volume caseload, meeting strict daily deadlines and prioritizing tasks efficiently
Provide detail oriented and consistent communication with clients, ensuring their needs are addressed
Work collaboratively within a team-oriented legal office environment
Conduct judgment debtor examinations as required by case specifics
Requirements:
Proven experience in post-judgment collections, particularly in landlord-tenant cases
Comprehensive understanding of California post-judgment enforcement procedures
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Detail-oriented mindset capable of working accurately under pressure
Ability to interact with clients, debtors, courts, and law enforcement agencies in a courteous and respectful manner
Familiarity with civil litigation processes, including court filings, writs, garnishment calculations, and levies
Ability to adapt and perform efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced legal environment
